Five of us have been friends since high school. So, let's see... that makes it... about 17 years that we have been friends. I can't imagine my life without them. I feel very lucky that one of those friends was only 5 weeks ahead of me during my first pregnancy. We got to go though the pregnancy and now over two years of parenting cheering each other on. I can't imagine doing it without her. Now, I am pregnant again, and that same friend is 5 weeks behind me!
Last weekend, we had a big get together, and 2 more of my friends announced that they are pregnant with their firsts. It seems so exciting to go through all this together. Now my fingers are crossed for the last friend, who has been trying for a couple of years now. As you can probably imagine, it was bittersweet to learn of my friends' pregnancies, while also feeling badly for the one who isn't. I wish there was something I could do or say to make it work out for her...
On to cards. Of course, two friends announcing their pregnancies means two cards to make... it's always exciting when a card-making opportunity presents itself!
